CELEBRATE SUMMER PROGRESSIVE DINNER ENCORE
On Saturday, June 28, 2008, members of St. James will host a Progressive Dinner program. Last year’s program was such a success that we’ve decided to do it again! The first progression will start under the tent in the churchyard at 6 PM, with wine and Hors d'oeuvres. The second progression will be in private homes with each host/hostess selecting the menu for the dinner at her/his home. For the final progression, dessert, everyone will come back together at either the church, or at a location TBD. The cost is only $25 per person. Space is limited, so please call the office at 375-9952 for reservations
On July 11th – 13th, St. James will be holding our annual parish retreat at beautiful Bishop Booth Conference Center at Rock Point on Lake Champlain in Burlington, VT . This is simply a time to relax and unwind with fellow parishioners while enjoying the beauty of Lake Champlain, the mountains, and the area. Feel free to bring your friends and family. All are welcome! Friday evening is check in and dinner, Saturday includes 3 meals, and on Sunday morning we’ll have a breakfast and an outdoor service. The costs for the full weekend is as follows: $48 per person for a quad room; $57 per person for a double room, and $72 per person for a single room. St James Calls New Rector
St. James is pleased to announce that we have called The Rev. Scott B. Neal to be our rector. Scott celebrated his first Eucharist with us on December 9th.
After owning and operating his own flower shop in Northfield for 12 years, Scott entered The General Theological Seminary in NYC, graduating in May of 2007. He did his Seminarian Field Placement at St. Luke in the Field, NYC and was ordained as a Transitional Deacon at his home parish back in Northfield. Scott spent the summer of 2006 as the Summer Camp Director at the Rock Point Summer Conferences in Burlington.
He and his family enjoy camping, long walks in the outdoors, gardening and cooking.
We are so blessed to have Scott and his family here at St. James and hope that you’ll find some time to personally welcome them in the coming months.
Elevator now available for coffee hour and other church functions!
Thanks to a generous donation in memory of Richard (Dick) Lacy, we now have an elevator to transport people down to the lounge area, and also a handicapped -accessible restroom. If you’d like to use the elevator, please mention it to the greeters/ushers and they’ll be glad to assist you!

Thanks to everyone who helped to make the calls needed to update our parish directory. Copies of the new Directory are now available on the table at the rear of the church. If you'd like a copy sent to you, please leave a message at the Parish Office.
